This course is also available to church ministry leaders and to individuals seeking next-step training in crisis communication, including how to speak with clarity, calm, and care during high-stress situations while supporting people spiritually and practically. Grounded in pastoral theology, Christian ethics, and evidence-informed crisis care, Part II emphasizes applied skill development in crisis assessment, immediate intervention, spiritual care, and follow-up planning. Through guided scenarios and structured exercises, participants will strengthen their ability to stabilize urgent situations, provide trauma-informed pastoral support, document responsibly, maintain healthy boundaries, and collaborate with community resources—including making appropriate referrals to licensed clinicians and emergency services when needed. By the end of this practicum, participants will be able to: Apply a clear, ministry-based crisis response framework Identify key risk factors and provide initial stabilization and support Communicate effectively in crisis situations with compassion and confidence Offer biblically grounded, trauma-informed spiritual care in moments of distress Develop short-term care plans and connect individuals/families to resources Practice ethical decision-making (confidentiality, boundaries, documentation) Recognize limits of pastoral counseling and refer appropriately*
